Applications

The new, oil resistant DAMPF TRIX® 6000 OIL is an innovative hightech version in ContiTech´s extremely successful steam hose family. Its outstanding heat resistant inner liner made of high quality EPDM allows the conveyance of pure, saturated steam at +210°C (+410°F) and 18 bar (261 psi), or even at +220°C (+428°F) and 23 bar (334 psi) for short-time service. Thanks to its newly developed, oil resistant cover the hose is especially suitable for conveying steam in the chemical and petrochemical industry, in refineries, the building industry, in shipyards and for various other industrial applications under the most grueling conditions – in all places, where existing steam hoses fail at an early stage due to oil contamination from outside. With this single high flexible hose we have managed to solve the conflict between oil resistance on the one hand and high steam temperature resistance on the other hand. DAMPF TRIX® 6000 OIL meets the requirements of DIN EN ISO 6134:2006-2 to the full extent.

  • Can be steamed up to +150°C/+302°F (max. 30 minutes)
  • Meets the requirements set out in EC 1935/2004, EC 2023/2006 and EU 10/2011
  • Working pressure up to 18 bar / 261 psi
  • Temperature range for saturated steam up to max. +210°C / +410°F, short term +220°C / +428°F at 23 bar / 333 psi (saturated steam)
  • Optimized resistance against pop corning
  • Electrically conductive, R < 106 Ω/hose line
  • Meets all requirements as per EN ISO 6134-2B
