New Strength in Anti-Vibration TechnologyWe are expanding our business with anti-vibration technology and, at the same time, broadening the portfolio for automotive manufacturers internationally. On April 1, we completed the takeover of the ‘Anti-Vibration Systems’ business of Cooper Standard. The takeover was agreed on November 1, 2018.

Expertise in North America

With the ‘Anti-Vibration Systems’ business of Cooper Standard, based in Novi in the U.S. state of Michigan, we are upgrading our expertise in the area of anti-vibration technology in North America. We are now even better positioned globally and offer automotive manufacturers worldwide state-of-the-art anti-vibration solutions that reduce noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) in the vehicle and consequently improve ride quality and handling. The ‘Anti-Vibration Systems’ unit operates five production sites, including R&D capacity in Canada, France, India, and the U.S.A., and employs approximately 1,000 people.

Our experts develop and produce active and passive vibration-optimized mounting components and weight-reduced systems for engines, transmissions, and other components for increased safety and comfort in the automotive industry, as well as for industrial applications in agriculture, the energy industry, the railroad industry, and the shipping industry.

We therefore complement each other extremely well when it comes to actively promoting innovations in the area of anti-vibration technology and weight reduction.
