With Octolaminat, Continental has developed a new fabric for dry diving suits. It guarantees optimum protection and maximum safety, both in and under the water. The coated fabric also offers maximum wear comfort as it is extremely lightweight and flexible. Working in close collaboration with Kallweit – a leading manufacturer of dry diving suits – Continental has successfully developed a product that expands its range to include protective suits designed for use in water.

The new fabric is made in Germany and is the result of several years of intensive development work. Kallweit GmbH has found a reliable manufacturer of elastomer fabrics in Continental, a manufacturer that guarantees excellent quality in terms of its materials and the products supplied.
The result was a fabric that remains watertight even after 170 diving hours under extreme conditions.
Dry suit fabrics are expected to meet extremely stringent requirements: The new fabric is highly watertight and therefore offers an excellent level of safety for the diver. It is reliable and robust. The developers paid a great deal of attention to ensuring high wear comfort.
The innovative Condensation Control Technology (CCT) allows for optimal regulation of the body temperature – a genuine advantage for the customer. The new fabric also has an extraordinarily pleasant feel. It is low-noise and feels light and supple.
