ContiTech Expands Aftermarket Portfolio With 1,300 New Part Numbers and Introduces Control Arms

  • New control arm product group expands suspension and steering portfolio
  • Expansions across all product categories: Around 1,300 new part numbers added in 2026, with more than two-thirds already available to order today
  • Focus on complete repair solutions: Additional belt kits and PRO Kits simplify installation through comprehensive package offerings
  • Variant range for N7 air springs for commercial vehicles continues to grow

Hanover, Germany, July 23, 2026. Continental's ContiTech group sector has significantly expanded its passenger car aftermarket portfolio and introduced control arms as a new product category. By doing so, ContiTech is strategically strengthening its offering of Continental-branded steering and suspension components while continuing to expand its portfolio across all product groups. Overall, the company is adding approximately 1,300 new part numbers in 2026, around 1,100 of which will already be available for ordering by the start of Automechanika.

At Automechanika 2026, taking place September 8 through 12 in Frankfurt, ContiTech will exhibit under the Continental brand and, for the first time, independently from the former Continental Automotive sector, which now operates as the standalone company Aumovio. In addition to drive belts and other rubber-based passenger car replacement parts, the ContiTech portfolio also includes passenger car suspension and steering components as well as air springs for commercial vehicles. The Continental booth will remain in its established location in the Forum Hall at Messe Frankfurt (FOR.0 A05), directly adjacent to Aumovio.

Control Arms Strengthen Expanded Suspension and Steering Portfolio

As a critical component of a vehicle's wheel suspension system, control arms ensure precise wheel guidance and play a major role in vehicle stability, steering performance and safety. With the introduction of this new product group, ContiTech is strategically expanding its portfolio with components that are highly relevant to everyday workshop operations.

At launch, the range includes several hundred variants covering key vehicle applications and is designed to provide broad coverage of relevant vehicles in the European car parc. As with the other suspension and steering product groups introduced over the past two years, ContiTech plans to continuously expand control arm coverage moving forward.

Continued Growth Across Steering, Belt and Other Product Groups

In addition to the launch of control arms, ContiTech continues to expand its existing portfolio. New parts are being added across all product categories, further increasing vehicle coverage in the European aftermarket.

The company's suspension and steering offering continues to grow with products such as 83 additional stabilizer links for Mercedes-Benz models as well as new hydraulic bushings and ball joints for BMW and MINI applications. This reflects the strategy announced at Automechanika 2024 to systematically expand the suspension and steering portfolio based on demand identified by workshops and distributors.

Another key focus remains the development of repair kits that combine all components required for a successful repair into a single package. Recent additions include numerous wheel bearing kits as well as new complete water pump and timing belt solutions. Within the accessory drive segment, the product range has expanded by 50 percent over the past several months, providing suitable repair solutions for virtually all relevant applications within the European car parc.

Growing Coverage for N7 Air Springs in Commercial Vehicle Applications

An increasing number of commercial vehicle applications can now be covered with N7 air springs. N7 is the replacement-market equivalent of the Tough RuNR air springs used in original equipment applications.

Tough RuNR systems have proven their reliability worldwide in demanding short-, medium- and long-haul operations. They are designed to perform across a broad temperature range, from extremely cold to very hot climates. This ensures reliable performance under extreme operating conditions while contributing to the long service life of N7 air springs.

"We are very pleased that our portfolio expansion is progressing exactly as we announced two years ago at Automechanika – both in terms of breadth through new product groups and depth through additional part numbers," said Rolf Sudmann, head of Automotive Aftermarket for the Industrial Solutions EMEA business area at ContiTech. "We listen closely to our customers to understand what they need, and we act on that feedback. Our goal is to make it easy for independent aftermarket workshops to choose high-quality products while benefiting from straightforward installation and repair processes."
