Hoses for SPM Service
The standard range of Continental's single and double carcass hoses is widely utilized on a variety of single point moorings (SPM) including CALM and SALM buoy terminals. Manufactured to the latest OCIMF certification, these hoses are the principal means for tanker loading and discharge operations offshore since the 1960’s.
In many cases, the standard Continental hose range will already suit the design requirements of a particular SPM installation; in others, customized versions of standard range hoses or somewhat more complex hose construction solutions are needed.
In recent years, the drive for increased reliability and longer service lifetimes has led to the development of hoses to meet the API 17K standard and these hoses can be offered for subsea SPM applications where reduced interventions are desired.
Low environmental risk: The marine hoses have an extensive track record around the world over many years with proven robustness for the most challenging of applications. For further risk reduction we offer double carcass anti-pollution hoses with leak detection system for both submarine and floating service.
Long service life: Our marine hoses offer outstanding fatigue resistance by utilising the right choice of reinforcing materials combined with years of design experience. These choices result in our hoses having industry leading service lifetimes which in turn provide reduced operating expenditures for our customers. API 17K submarine hoses can offer a long life solution for many terminals.
