Resilient Flooring - Wear Layer
Resilient Flooring is one of the strongest, most durable types of flooring on the market today
Continental's extensive manufacturing experience and breadth of surface solutions enable us to produce custom engineered rigid, semi-rigid and flexible films, and fabrics for a variety of consumer and industrial products. We manufacture durable films in customized thikness and widths for many end use applications, including flooring products.
Continental produces specialty films used in the manufacturing of various types of flooring. The clear, fill and backing materials are part of the durable construction of the flooring product. The layers are laminated together using pressure and heat during the manufacturing process making it scratch resistant, water resistant and stain resistant.
Wear Layer
Creating balance within the construction is essential in maintaining dimensional stability. Continental vinyl is formulated and manufactured to meet these critical needs. The use of carefully tested and selected post-production and post-industrial recycled vinyl, along with a unique manufacturing method, allows Continental to produce the highest quality luxury vinyl components. The vinyl is free of mercury, lead and cadmium, and is formulated without ortho-phthalate plasticizers.
Today’s luxury vinyl features some of the most innovative, versatile, and high-performing flooring available. Premium vinyl flooring offers the richness and texture of more expensive natural materials, such as hardwood, ceramic tile, and stone. Continental's surface solutions team is always looking for new ways to bring design, durability and luxury to the flooring industry.
