The batteries found in electric vehicles work most efficiently when operating at temperatures between 20°C to 40°C. This temperature range enables high battery efficiency, which leads to achieving expected vehicle ranges and extends battery life. For that reason, vehicle batteries must be either heated or cooled, depending on outside temperatures.
